Svai Sauna Årre is one of two saunas at Kulturhavna, idyllically located on the south side of Brosundet. When your booking starts, the door is unlocked and the sauna is warm – around 80°C. Unwind and enjoy the beautiful views of Ålesund’s town centre.
Cool off with a refreshing dip in our aquavit barrels, which are over 50 years old. The barrels are continuously filled with fresh seawater pumped directly from the fjord, so the water temperature follows the temperature of the sea.
Årre and Heite offer the same sauna experience – the difference is how much time you have. Sessions at Årre last 1 hour and 45 minutes, while sessions at Heite last 1 hour.
As a guest, you have access to changing rooms, drinking water and an outdoor freshwater shower. Bring a water bottle, swimwear and two towels – one to sit on and one to dry off with.
