Sandstangen Badstue is Indre Østfold municipality’s wood-fired sauna at Øyeren in Trøgstad. Sandstangen is known as a popular bathing spot with a roughly 300-metre-long shoreline of moraine gravel.
The sauna is rented out in two-hour sessions, both privately and as a shared sauna. A sauna master pre-heats the room before use, and firewood is included in the rental — you regulate the heat yourself by adding wood and pouring water on the stones as you go.
