Holmestrand Fjordbadstu operates two loating saunas, Alma and Eira, located in central Holmestrand right by the town’s beach. Just a 5-minute walk from the train station, just 55 minutes ride from Oslo Sentral Station. the sauna offers fjord bathing, sunrise watching, and the chance to spot swans, ducks, eider ducks, and seals.
The Experience
From our floating saunas, you can enjoy sweeping views across the fjord as you warm up, before stepping outside for a refreshing sea swim — all year round. We also offer special activities such as Aufguss, a traditional aromatherapy sauna ritual, and sauna yoga for a truly holistic wellness experience. Eira features an indoor hot-water shower, while Alma offers an outdoor cold-water shower.
Membership and Pricing
- Monthly membership: 400 NOK per month (over 23 years old), includes daily shared sauna use at no extra cost
- Youth membership: Half price for ages 16-23
- Private rental: Available for groups of up to 12-14 people
- Single sessions and drop-in: Available every day
